JLSD Shares Thanksgiving Turkeys with 450 Students

A huge thanks to the JLSD members who donated a record 46 turkeys to the Monarch School for its Thanksgiving Dinner. The Monarch School is a local nonprofit dedicated to educating and ensuring personal success for students impacted by homelessness. Each year they host a special Thanksgiving dinner for homeless young people to participate in the special holiday. For 9 years the JLSD has been helping to support this event and this year the donated JLSD turkeys served approximately 450 young people!

Shout outs to the following people who donated 2 turkeys each: Tracy Achten, Carlisa Endoso, Lauren Forster, Jaqueline Kallberg, Paige Kratz, Andrea Myers, Katie Oliver, Amber Patillo, Jodie Spanos.

Thank you also to the community partners who made the event such a huge success, including Brian Hamilton from Project Connect and Kearny Mesa Fiat who caravaned all the turkeys to the Monarch Dinner. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
