On behalf of the 2017-2018 Junior League of San Diego Executive Management Team, I welcome you to our 89th League year. For over a year, your Management Team has been hard at work brainstorming and planning ways to improve your membership experience. We are only a few months into this League year and we’ve already welcomed 118 new provisional members, held two General Membership Meetings with record-breaking attendance, started work with our new public relations consultants, Mixte, sold out the 69th annual Day at the Races, and offered countless (and popular) volunteer shifts and member connections events including a new opportunity, Day at City Hall.
I can’t wait to share what we have in store for you over the next 9 months. Be on the lookout for more small group neighborhood meetings, an Impact Forum focusing on Tools for Building Confident Girls and Women, a Board Academy with a new opportunity to network with local community partners, the Public Policy Institute, the Women’s Minds Women’s Bodies training symposium, our 89th Charter Day celebration, and our 18th annual Food & Wine Festival.
I encourage each one of you to get involved, work together, be connected, be thirsty for knowledge, share your expertise, and be a change maker as all the women before us have. We, The Junior League of San Diego, are very powerful when we work together and continue to move us into the future. I look forward to celebrating all of our accomplishments together.
Jennifer Glaser, Executive Vice President, Junior League of San Diego
